Temikki Garden

Team Size: 8+

Dates: January - August 2025

Core Focus: Data Management, Performance, Save/Load

Bonus: Auggie Awards Nomination

Temikki Garden is a game designed to bring joy to children during long hospital stays. I inherited the project 8 months before completion and led key development efforts that significantly improved its performance, systems, and user experience.

When I joined, the game was running at ~12 FPS. By implementing AutoLOD and Mirage Impostor systems, optimizing assets, and refining build settings, I boosted performance to a stable 28–30 FPS — even in demanding scenarios such as AR mode, where players interact with the character Temikki.

I also developed a fully encrypted Save/Load system to ensure data integrity and progression tracking for the garden management gameplay. On the UI side, I integrated Figma-designed assets into Unity, building a brand-new interface that improved usability and aesthetics.

Finally, I created a Check-In system that records patients’ medical progress, leveraging dictionaries to integrate information from multiple gameplay sections.

The project’s impact and technical quality led to a nomination for the 2024 Auggie Awards, one of the most prestigious recognitions in the XR industry.
